LECERF was founded in 1982 by Frederic Ubinyana in Seva, Barcelona, a region reknowned for its tanning industry. After a decade of trading in the leather goods sector, Ubinyana decided to start his own brand with a focus on producing handcrafted wallets and purses only. Since then the company has expanded and now produces a wide range of other leather accessories including laptop bags, handbags and holdalls which are always right on trend. Despite the rapid growth, however, LECERF remains a family-owned business and Frederic Ubinyana's values still hold true with each piece being hand-finished in only the finest quality leathers and fabrics. Spain has a rich heritage in the design and manufacturing of quality leather goods, especially Catalonia where LECERF originates - managing to combine this rich tradition in the leather industry with contemporary design to meet the demands of modern everyday life.
