We Review The Wombat Hunter Leather Satchel Briefcase
Following on from our trend focus for the month (SS15 Trend Alert - 1970s Revival), I think it is only fair to really show off how very on trend we are here at Just4Leather. And the biggest point here is, we do not always intend to be.
The seventies are indeed one of the major SS15 trends this summer and by far, the most iconic bag from this era is the Satchel. Worn at the time as a functional cross body bag, it still plays its part in 2015. The catwalks have thankfully kept a keen focus on the traditional Satchel, no need for sprucing this bad boy up - not necessary.
Or review is inline with the big Seventies trend for SS15, our Wombat Hunter Leather Satchel.
There are two key reasons why I love this particular satchel. Firstly the leather. It is made from a rich, waxy, sturdy medium weight leather and as it ages it will slowly change colour around the edges and look even more sumptuous. Secondly it has to be the value for money what with all the compartments. I mean what woman does not want a bag to carry her house with?! Seriously, there are 6 compartments in this delightful satchel. Front, middle, sides and back.
The central compartment is large and spacious, at a 13” c 9.5” dimension it is perfect for fitting a good sized laptop inside as well as any paperwork.
The front two pockets also are nice and roomy, and can easily fit a mobile phone or blackberry in one, and a wallet in the other.
There is a rear back zip section also and the very sturdy adjustable and detachable strap.
I wear my Hunter Satchel without the long strap as personal preference, as it becomes more of a statement bag and rest assured it is being worn with any outfit right now!
