Much like the brand itself, the current creative director descends from a long line of fine leather craftsmen. DeVito was born to the leather-stocking region of upstate New York to a family of talented leather tanners. His great grandfather Guiseppi started in the leather industry around 1880 in Alvito, Italy prior to emigrating to the United States. DeVito has been responsible for designing and developing leather accessories numerous collections for luxury US brands such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors before joining Auchamo in 2009.
Just as in the brands above, the focus is very much on creating luxury leather purses and handbags that are simple, honest and finely crafted from quality materials.
